Who needs INMETRO or ANATEL certification?
Any manufacturer, brand owner or importer placing regulated products on the Brazilian market, whether the product is made in India, China, Vietnam, Korea or elsewhere.
Does my company need a presence in Brazil?
Registration with INMETRO and homologation with ANATEL are generally held by a legally established Brazilian entity, typically your importer or legal representative. We help you organise this.
Can one product need both approvals?
Yes. A mains-powered product with a wireless module, such as a smart appliance, often needs INMETRO for electrical safety and ANATEL for the radio.
