Frequently Asked Questions

No, but the test data largely overlaps. Most FCC-tested radio products can obtain ISED certification with limited extra testing and a Canadian representative.
UL's Canadian listing (cUL) is accepted, as are CSA and Intertek cETL, because they are SCC-accredited. A US-only UL listing is not enough.
Yes. UL is not recognised as NOM certification, although UL/IEC test data can support NOM testing.
A Mexican importer or representative normally holds the certificate and is responsible for the product in Mexico.
