Electrical products sold in Great Britain must meet the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, the UK version of the EU Low Voltage Directive. Most mains-powered products must also meet the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994, which in practice means a BS 1363 plug with an approved fuse.
